Progurt nominated for Expo East NEXT Award representing the future of natural products

Progurt Team - Monday, October 19, 2015

Progurt (Supplements & Ingredients)

The probiotic arms-race just accelerated with this great approach to probiotic supplementation. Progurt boasts 1 trillion CFUs per dose--that’s 10 times the next highest CFU count we have seen on the market, and maybe 40 times the average probiotic supplement. Even more important is Progurt's approach to the category. Based upon “multiple human probiotic isolates” promising to be identical to those found in a healthy human gut from birth, this unique and disruptive approach to delivering a diversity of native probiotics to boost our microbiota is just what the category needs.

Every year at Natural Products Expo East, New Hope Natural Media's editors and trend researchers find the products and brands they think represent the most innovative edge of the natural products industry, as well as its deeply held social and environmental values. The best of the best receive NEXTY nominations (read the criteria for nominees here).

In December, we'll announce the Editors' Choice winners in the food & beverage; supplements & ingredients; and beauty & natural living categories. But our opinions only mean so much; we also want to recognize the brands that you think are on to something. Get to know this year's NEXTY nominees, listed here alphabetically by category (supplements/ingredients start at slide 25, and beauty/natural living starts at slide 35), and then vote for your favorite brands on our NEXTY polling page beginning Oct. 21.

The Editors' Choice and Popular Vote winners will be announced in December and featured on newhope360.com and in an awards ceremony at Natural Products Expo West 2016.

Do Probiotics Prevent Disease?

Progurt Team - Friday, July 31, 2015

Years of scientific acknowledgement now validate the true health benefits of probiotics. The scientific evidence is so profound that the word “probiotic” is now banned in many countries.

Progurt was specifically developed as a powerful health promoting probiotic of human origin to replenish the gut with human strains that may be missing from birth or depleted due to antibiotics, Western diet or lifestyle.

Progurt was also developed as a Probiotic that may be consumed in pressed juice or water or made up into a yogurt-like substance. One of our favorite Wellness consultants and chef, Tina Leigh, is developing more delicious Progurt recipes, which will soon be posted on the Probiotic Institute’s website. http://hautehealthnow.com/meet-tina-leigh/

Progurt also offers a powerful immune boost if taken in pressed juice. Our favorite US organic food outlet, Café Gratitude, have just opened their new store in San Diego http://cafegratitude.com/. Café Gratitude offer a menu of sustainable foods that express gratitude for the richness of life. Their dedication to 100% organic ingredients reflects their gratitude for life and good health.

Progurt bestows blessings for Mothers and Babies.

Progurt Team - Monday, July 20, 2015

Progurt bestows blessings – for Mothers and Babies.

Better Babies author, pharmacist and Progurt advocate Jan Roberts, says: “The infant gut and skin are inoculated with good bacteria during the baby’s journey down the birth canal, and with exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months.”

Unfortunately, not all babies receive these first essential probiotics – especially, if they were born by Caesarian section or have not been sufficiently breastfeed. Progurt ‘s human-origin strains allow the child’s gut to be replenished with these all-important microbiota they should have received from birth.

Progurt supplementation is recommended for all children today, due to antibiotics and other environmental factors and to ensure an optimally healthy microbiome in the child, which should be well established by the age of two or three.

The Gut is our Most Important Organ

Babies, exposed to antibiotics during mother’s pregnancy, children with mental health disorders or food cravings, teenagers with skin disorders, adults battling obesity, depression or other now recognized gut related conditions – all need to balance their gut, their most important organ, with the very best probiotics.

Progurt is recommended by leading health practitioners in Australia and throughout the world as the probiotic of choice to balance the microbioflora of this most important organ.

The Efficacy of Progurt.

Progurt Team - Tuesday, June 02, 2015

“Researchers have found links between imbalances in the gut microbiota and an America’s Most Wanted list of costly health problems, from obesity and diabetes to autoimmune diseases, autism, and depression. They’ve also found evidence that First World eaters may have brought some of these problems on themselves—by rooting out too many “good” microbes through overzealous use of antibiotics, processed foods, and antibacterial sanitizers.”

This is a new story from the June 1, 2015 issue of Fortune magazine. But it is nothing new for the Probiotics Institute; whose scientists and bacteriologists developed Progurt, the world’s most powerful probiotic.

“ Today, because of WESTERN DIETS, (bigger and bigger food manufacturers including additives for profit of antibiotics, growth hormones and other medicines as well as massive amounts of sugars) we need special strains of BACTERIA. These Bacteria are provided in PROGURT. “ (from The Life and Times of Bacteria by Professor Earl Owen).

World-renowned doctors and researchers, such as Professor Earl Owen, have witnessed and testified to the efficacy of Progurt and it’s brain-gut connection.

According to the Japanese Association of Functional Foods, a probiotic should have a minimum concentration of 1 billion microorganisms, to be consumed daily, for therapeutic effects.

Laboratory microbial testing confirms Progurt has 120 times more beneficial bacteria than 1 billion microorganisms.

When consumed daily, Progurt has 120 times more benefit for humans than another “therapeutic” probiotic.

Probiotic Therapy for Turtles and Bacteriophage Based Probiotics.

Progurt Team - Tuesday, April 14, 2015

Progurt was developed as a powerful probiotic to replenish the human gut with bacterial strains, of human origin, often missing strains, destroyed by antibiotics as well as a modern Western diet and lifestyle. There are trillions of bacteria in your gut, and they collectively contain at least 100 times as many genes as you do. The bacterial DNA in your gut disproportionately outnumbers your own DNA and regulates your digestion and immune functions as well as protecting against serious infections.

Obesity, autoimmune diseases, autism and other brain disorders have all been linked to toxic bacteria in the gut.

Progurt’s strains and “CFU strength” help eliminate toxic gut- bacteria by replenishing the gut with good bacteria as well as strengthening the mucous lining of the gut to stop further toxic bacteria from entering. In Queensland, Australia, scientists are turning to bacteriophage therapy to restore the good gut bacteria of turtles. "With anti-microbial resistance being such a major global problem, Western countries are looking at trying to find alternatives to antibiotics or at least something that can reduce the usage of antibiotics," Dr Elliot, a specialist in phage therapy, said.

Progurt For Mental Disorders.

Progurt Team - Tuesday, March 17, 2015

“In the midst of winter, I found there was within me an invincible summer.” wrote Albert Camus, French Nobel Prize winning author, journalist and philosopher. We at Progurt embrace Camus philosophy and encourage all to strive to find beauty within their daily life and within their world.

The United States National Mental Health Association reports that 30%-70% of suicide victims have suffered from a form of depression. Men commit almost 75% of suicides, even though twice as many women attempt suicide. Bipolar disorder, depression, substance abuse and related health disorders are being reported in all age groups.

Progurt has been developed as a powerful probiotic to help rectify gut disorders, which may also, according to a Canadian study, be a key for helping with mental illness.

The Canadian study, the first of its kind, is now studying probiotics versus a placebo in 50 patients with bipolar disorder. Probiotics are “a novel area for exploration” for treating mental illness, researcher Dr. Valerie Taylor, a psychiatrist at Women’s College, told CTV News.

The key to improving treatments, and the lives of those suffering from mental illness, may lie in “looking outside the box and other body systems,” Taylor said.
